Sojourn Church desires to serve our local community and what better way than through the local school! Each Thursday we have volunteers serve in the teacher workroom helping with making copies, laminating and a cutting and any other project support the teachers need.
We will serve every Thursday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm each semester.

Sojourn has an amazing opportunity to serve kids in the classroom at Brumby by providing one-on-one readying support or small group math support through fun activities and games.

Sojourn Church has partnered with Promise686 and TogetherWithFamilies to create FAM teams to support families in our community who are at-risk of their kids entering the foster care system.
We are currently looking to create our third FAM team and we would love your support! Click here to learn more about FAM at Sojourn!
Local Care
At Sojourn, our love for our neighbors looks like serving our local community. Our Local Care team's goal is to organize and equip our church body to serve our community. Our mission is to love, serve, and meet the needs of those around us; strengthening families, sharing the gospel, and healing the broken.
Sojourn Church partners with local organizations that reach families all over East Cobb:
Brumby Elementary School
Promise686 - Family Advocacy Ministry
We are also a part of Cobb Benevolence Group, which consists of local churches and social workers collaborating with various ministries to meet urgent needs like food shortages, shelter, and support.
Because Christ first loved us, we desire to meet tangible needs and support those around us.

Global Outreach
Sojourn desires to be a missional community, meaning we long for the gospel to go out beyond our community and reach the, “ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8) and “all nations” (Mt 28:19). While this has tremendous implications for how we live our lives in America, we are convinced that in response to these biblical mandates and the overwhelming spiritual and physical needs around the world, we must put energy towards communities around the world.
Thus, as a church, we want to be intentional about equipping and sending qualified leaders to communities in need, supporting those already there, and regularly seeking to stir our hearts for a world desperate for Jesus. We echo the psalmist when he says “Let the nations be glad and sing for joy” (Psalm 67:4a)

GLOBAL OUTREACH PRAYER

1. Pray for like-minded long term co-labors to come through upcoming college teams and interns.
2. Pray for their Thai friends (e.g. Boom, Beau, Ava, P'Noot) to continue to take steps towards Christ.
3. Pray for their family to thrive in their work, parenting, school and relationships

Each month we want to pray as a community for a specific unreached people group - that the gospel would spread amongst this people.
We want to pray for the small minority of believers in the area - that they would be encouraged in the gospel, empowered by the Spirit, and faithful to their call to make disciples.
We want to pray for our church and how God might use Sojourn to make disciples amongst the unreached peoples of the world.
For the month of June we are focusing on the country of Algeria:Pray for the Algerian people to see the crushing weight of failing to adhere perfectly to Islamic law, and for the light of the gospel to bring hope and freedom that only Christ can offer.
Pray for the few believers amongst the Algerian people would be emboldened in their faith, despite the consequences, and share the gospel with their neighbors.
Pray that Sojourn could be used to bring the gospel to the Algerian people living in Atlanta as well as abroad.
